Also one more question: has anyone experience with sleeping on the parking lot in their car? How does that work, is it too far to walk?!

I need a van ticket as well and I am wondering if people can sleep in their cars on the designated parking spot....

It's allowed to sleep/camp in your vehicle on the parking area. But the vehicles are parked side by side like on any regular parking lot. So usually there's no space for camping equipment outside of your car/van. Can't remember right now if it's also just not allowed from official side to put sth. up. Look into the FAQ, it might be subject there.
Here the festival map from 2023, this year's layout should be more or less the same: https://regensburg.re/fusion.2023.karte.big.png Parking are the brownish coloured areas on the left/west of "F"-camping and below/south of "G"-camping, so you'll see that some camping areas are even farther away from the festival area than parking.
