Herrjemeneh, das ist die Art von Unsorgsamkeit, die hier sicher viele auf die Palme bringt.

Wie kann man es denn nicht schaffen, innerhalb von ein paar Stunden mal 'ne Nummer zu ändern.

Das heißt ja zudem, dass alle nicht-deutschen Teilnehmer/innen diese falsche IBAN haben, und das Geld nicht ankommen wird.

If they already screw up this I'm curious how they are going to screw up the management of a database with privacy sensitive information of 90.000 registered people.

I am German but received the mail in English first, and now they re-send in German...and, indeed, they screwed up - in the german mail, the account-nr. ends with a 02 and the IBAN always includes the last numbers of the domestic account - so if you got the information that the IBAN ends with 03 its simply wrong...
Well...I think that should really not have happened, they should have seen it and provided you with the correct IBAN...luckily you noticed, but I don't want to know how many people from aboroad will simply not notice and start wondering were their Ticket is in May...

as I understand correctly there is a error checking mechanism included in a IBAN number. You can easily check if a IBAN number is correct or not by doing a calculation on it.

I assume most banks will do this check, my bank did. This leaves the problem that people just don't know the correct number.
