Low- und Highlights eurer Fusion 2025

no, that is the excuse always used, it is a cultural thing within the country with certain exceptions. I can understand German and can speak some as well, there is just no real sense of community unless you know each other, even with Germans who speak good English. A few talks here and there I also had, but it is superficial, i didnt have the same experience at a "very commercial" Glastonbury, so I was shocked to see not even at Fusion it changes the vibe. Literally at the other festival ppl would see me alone on my phone and tell me to join them for the whole night out of nowhere. I think a cultural change is in order since it is 2025.

One thing about fusion that I find very relevant; it's really hard to keep a crew together. If you loose sight of someone, they are gone.

I basically refuse to go exploring with more than three people unless absolutely necessary. More is fine if everyone is heading for the same stage and there is a designated meeting spot.

My contacts with strangers are super short lived for that reason. Maybe for the duration of a gig or two, but that's about it. I've had plenty of these moments though.

By far the worst was a bunch of influencers from the UK who were comparing the view statistics about the festival in their insta account. They had color coordinated their outfits among them and did a really good job at it. But they only talked about how much interaction each picture from the night before was getting and how to optimize for the next day. They had all bought food at Platz Der Kosmonauten and one girl was busy taking pictures of their food for everyone while it was getting cool. They were super respectful about not taking pictures of people though, that was cool to see, but still, the only thing they seemed to care about was social media.

The best one was with a dude at oase on Sunday morning. He had just packed up his bike and was heading home. We had a great talk about the very, very different experiences we had and then both went our way.

Yeah its just at Glasto, I walked all day and it is much much bigger in size the place (I wouldnt go back to my tent all day cause it was too long to walk most times) and still managed to encounter a certain group many times and really connect to people or first night I had a guy that came with his wife and he bought me a beer and we chatted for a while, and at the fire and another group for most of a night, not every interaction needs to be significant but it seems like people dont seek that at Fusion at all but just short encounters. I know its hard to keep group together, I am the first friend to get lost cause im so used to going out alone haha but idk, I felt something was missing in that area. March of last year I even met with a friend from glasto and we didnt see each other for 8 years but kept in touch all that time, it can be magical when people really seek connection. Like everyone says "Have a nice festival" as a greeting as when you go surfing and everyone says "wish u nice waves" it just gives an overall general sense of happinness. I hope next Fusion is more communal <3 ps: influencers are deffo a no go no matter where they are from hehe

I know German people dont talk to non German speakers unless they are travelling, but I was shocked because of everything I heard about it.

A sense of community requires effort from both sides – from the group and from yourself.

Perhaps you have unconsciously entrenched yourself too much in the idea that "Germans are reserved (towards strangers)". Such fundamental beliefs are then expressed in your own aura and behaviour without you even noticing or being able to control it. And in doing so, you block yourself off.

Try to break away from it!

By the way, fusion isn't Germany, it just happens to take place in Germany.

Girl, I have no issues in other countries talking to people, but I dont disrupt groups because maybe they just took a drug or whatever, its easier for a group to adopt someone than me begging for a group to add me, idk, its not the vibe usually. I dont have that aura u mention at all, cause at the other festival I looked utter bored on my phone the moment a great group asked me to join. It is something ive noticed especially in Germany, and yeah maybe I dont try anymore but I have been so badly mistreated and ignored for not speaking the language as soon as I got here that maybe trying to be more welcoming as a group is easier than always expecting the single person to break into ur group. I dont judge and say u give a certain aura from never having seeing u or knowing anything about u... and Fusion is Germany, it wasnt very international at all, I thought it would be more.

I did understand, I just didnt feel the need to go to a sad looking tent to be sad about people not talking to me, I wasnt sad,

There is nothing sad about that, you chose to look at it this way. Ive been coming for years now, and I like to visit them when Im near, and I never got a sad vibe. Of course it can be a bit depressing to see someone have a bad time, but its not like the people are presented for everyone to see and you dont go out of your way to look at fucked up people, now do you?
I always had some great conversations and met some nice people when talking to the peeps at their front desk with the free goodies.
Once I met someone from abraod and went out to party with them later, we had a blast.

I checked out that tent cause I didnt understand what it was and it looked extra gloomy and not the right vibe, i didnt need support or to "talk to someone" im just sad that sense of community that was so hyped and promised fell so so so short. I know how to have fun on my own, I was ok, I just expected different from what people say about this festival.

Oh gott, ich hab mein absolutes Highlight komplett vergessen. Vielleicht war noch jemand daran beteiligt:
In der Nacht zum Samstag ist ein "Lichtmönch" bei den Bachstelzen herumgewandert und hat Spektralbrillen verteilt. Durch das ganze Geblinke im Wald war man damit effektiv blind vor Buntheit und konnte nur noch dem leuchtenen Kristall auf seiner Brust folgen. Somit ist dem Mönch stets eine Traube von 5-10 Menschen kultartig hinterhergestolpert, während dieser über Licht und dessen Spektren gesprochen hat.
War nicht nur unfassbar witzig, sondern auch enorm interessant, die verschiedenen Lichtquellen in ihre Farbspektren aufgeteilt zu sehen.

Seriously? Is that how you address people you don't know?

If you come across the way you do in all your comments in this thread, I'm really not surprised that things aren't working out for you at Fusion. I just wanted to help you open up and release some blocking manifestations (which we all have!), but at this point, I'm out, it's hopeless. Self-reflection requires a lot of courage and honesty with yourself. Seeing the problem exclusively in others is definitely not a good approach.

Highlight :

die waschstraße, Neuland (war da die Jahre zuvor nie mehr außer mal durchgelaufen und habe den Bereich dieses Jahr nicht nur als Bühne gut erleben können:)), NTO, das Essen (vor allem pad Thai, pizza, burger und slavische maultaschen:D)
auch shankstasy in der Nacht zum Sonntag war noch mal ein schöner workout

Highlights für mich waren:
-das Design und Lichtkonzept von der Tanzwüste, richtig toll was dort gebaut wurde. Die Technoiden Würfel und die blitze zwischen den Spheren haben mich in andere Dimensionen Transportiert.
-Samstag Nacht an der Türmbühne und Das Abwechslungsreiche Programm an unserem Treffpunkt vor der Fer a coudre.
-All die netten Bekanntschaften mit denen wir teilweise auch mehr als einmal feiern waren.
-Kaum ein handy auf den dancefloors zu sehen.
-Die geile Mukke und party an der Waschstraße!
-Die Freiheit auf dem Platz die für mich überall zu spüren und in den Gesichtern der vielen Menschen zu sehen war. Danke!

Highlights:
- Eine große haarige Schnecke die Mittwoch mit einer Frau oben drauf über das Gelände geritten ist und dabei eine Schleimspur hinterlassen hat - sehr lustig
- Die Performance neben Fer à Coudre mit den 3 Frauen. Konnten wir 2x zufällig mitnehmen und waren einfach nur wunderschön!
- Das Set von Dubfire - das war wirklich Weltklasse aufgelegt.
- Die Stimmung bei Dominik Eulberg & Teenage Mutants auf der Turmbühne, unglaubliche Energie!
- Sonntag Nacht nochmal in Ruhe übers Gelände schlendern
- viel mehr Leute vom Awareness Team rum laufen gesehen
- wieder viele tolle Menschen, kreative Feierstäbe, viel Energie auf den Floors - hat mich dazu animiert richtig viel zu dancen !

Lowlights:
- Leider die Sonntagsgäste. Habe sofort gemerkt, dass die Stimmung etwas ernster wurde, viele sind kurz auf die Floors haben Bilder & Videos gemacht und sind wieder gegangen. Macht leider bisschen die Stimmung kaputt und ist wie eine kleine frühzeitige Realitätsklatsche
- Wo war das Feuer auf der Tanzwüste? Hat gefehlt!
