I'm still worried about a situation I was briefly involved in around 11pm pm on Saturday night. I was walking along the fence path next to C18, where I saw a girl alone, wrapped in a blanket with no shoes, who was obviously very upset. I tried to comfort her while she was crying a lot into my shoulder.
We were next to the entrance at C18, and I asked the gate staff what to do. They said that they'd asked her if she wanted a medic but she had refused, so they didn't try to help any further.
She said her name was M**** (for privacy) When I asked her what happened, she said that her husband had died in their tent the day before, the police had taken her tent, and she had no other friends at the festival. She kept saying she wanted to die/didn't know how to carry on, and she just wanted him back. I stayed with her for about 20 mins, and she agreed to go with me to the Eclipse tent, but it was a long walk from where we were.
I said I would go quickly to my tent to get her some shoes so we could walk there, but when I came back she was gone. The gate staff said she had gone outside of the fence, so I went looking for her but couldn't see her anywhere.
The next day one person at our camp said that she had also seen the girl, and then a while later saw a helicopter with a search light flying above the area outside the fence. She assumed that this was related to the girl, and she regretted not helping her when she saw her.
I wish I hadn't left her alone, and I wish I'd told the gate staff what she had told me, so they might have taken the situation more seriously

It makes me want to take awareness training to deal with these kinds of situations

I still feel worried for the girl, and what happened to her. I hope it was just a bad trip, but even if it was she was really upset about it.
Does anyone know anything?
