Re: Cocaine?
There have been warnings, at Eclipse for example I remember signs warning about ultra pure coke.Sturmenator hat geschrieben: ↑Sa 5. know what you buy and if you dont, then go to a drug testing stand close to the casino. Also please dont mention several heart attacks when you dont know if any and how many, can you share an article about it? the only article i Find is about a girl hospitalized and the cause is unknown.
The heart attack risk wasnt publicly announced or anything, if I were to guess, to prevent a panic among the people who bought coke there.
Im not part of the medic team, Im just reporting what I have been told.
Its just my personal opinion and guess that the warnings didnt say anything about heart attacks for a reason, most likely in order not to stir up fear among coke users. Because if you spread that information, Im pretty sure there will be cases where people just went too hard and had some coke and then attribute their state to the supposedly super pure coke that might not be that, you know what I mean?
There is a fine line (haha) between information and fear mongering, and you cant always control how people react to information. Even if you dont intend to stir up fear, it still can happen if you say stuff like that openly I believe. I mean, docs like Gernot and the others who make the important decisions arent new to this, they probably chose to not disclose the heart attacks seeing as there was no word of that, only that its dangerous. If we were still there right now, having this talk, I also probably wouldnt have told you that.
And if youre not completely oblivious and know that its a stimulant, you do a rail and your heart starts to race and you got pain in your chest, it should be pretty clear to you whats happening (unless youre on K at the same time).

ine, alcohol and any other drugs…
The tricky thing is that drug policies and public opinion are usually shaped more by culture than by actual health impact. If alcohol were discovered today, it would never be legalized.
Cocaine isn’t harmless, but it would be great if we looked at alcohol with the same critical lens. Right now it feels like a double standard.
Re: Cocaine?
Jul 2025, 15:06I noticed horrible people on alcohol, should we ban? I believe its not the drug, it’s the person itself as I also use coke and had a smile all week:)movingmybody hat geschrieben: ↑Fr 4. Jul 2025, 15:03 This year, I really noticed people on cocaine. Cocaine changes the atmosphere significantly - even when people are happy and loving, it's still somehow aggressive, tense, and for me, the anti-thesis of the Fusion feel. There are also the ethics of buying this kind of drug...
What to do?
Ban?
Education?
Should we all start wearing funny anti-cocaine t-shirts?
I spent some time in the taxi by the Casino, which had a discussion prompt that went something like 'Can you be left and take cocaine?' Great question. (If anyone remembers the exact phrasing, remind us!)
TLDR I hate cocaine but trying to be open about how to approach this... Autonomism etc etc

Re: Cocaine?
I think youre getting off track here. This wasnt a double standard situation, this was an exceptional occasion where the substance in question was unusually dangerous.Sturmenator hat geschrieben: ↑So 6. Yes, doing drugs is always risky. Yes, every year people overdo it or have mishaps with overdosing and medical complications.
But its not every year that a substance is so strong that a normal dose sends you straight to the docs/hospital. This has nothing to do with drug policies or public opinions.
And it reminds me of last year, where there was information going around about tampons that were supposedly spiked with GHB, which turned out not to be the case and not even possible to do.
That info spread like wildfire and caused many anxious moments for people as many took it for a fact without further questioning it.
Im not the one who made the decision to not say anything about the heart attacks, so again, this is purely my own subjective judgement on the situation. But I believe that telling everyone that there is super dangerous coke going around would have lead to many anxious people, and that anxiety would have caused its own problems as a result.
And to me the info that there is 95%+ coke going around was already enough to be seriously warned about it and not to buy any of it on the grounds from untrusted sources, even if I were interested in coke.
If I were interested in doing it, knowing that I might get a heart attack from it, would absolutely not have made my festival experience more enjoyable.
