Interesting post.
To answer your questions:
1) Living in Sweden, of mixed origin.
2) Not really sure what you mean by "musical culture", could you pls rephrase/clarify?
3) Being quite proximate to Copenhagen, since some years I almost exclusively go out there. While we used to have a vibrant underground scene, the little we have at home nowadays is pretty regulated & contained, and feels relatively stifling.
Generally speaking, there's hired security (as at any mainstream club), and sometimes you aren't even allowed re-entry if leaving. Last year, I also was baffled by a whole festival only accepting contactless payment by card -- not even having informed about it. Ofc, there was nowhere to pay cash and no food or beverage was allowed in.
They now allow fruits & snacks, and there's ONE tiny bar w/ no food that I recall which accepts cash, but instead have gone no re-entry (the crew hosts the 2 major festivals, and one night club, so rather domineering the scene).
Overall, it feels as if most larger organizers are in it for the profit and not necessarily for the love of the music, if that makes sense? It just comes through in their various policies.
Luckily, there still are a multitude of beautiful events held (the above included; minus the negatives), also underground in summer. And CPH allows for feeling much more free than Sweden does, even if IMO its soul was killed when they "Trojan horse" closed Pusher St in Christiania. There also f ex are being organized burns outside of the whole commercial deal.
3) Not really, no. Rather, I finally feel in my element at Fusion and very much resonate w/ its tenets. It's a life injection I've almost become addicted to, making "normal life" supportable the rest of the year.

It's not about making the world a better place; it's about making ourselves better persons. The rest comes naturally.
PLS HELP ME -- + friends? -- TO MY 10th ANNIVERSARY Fusion!!
