Dann müssten aber auch Leute im Standardpreset "Long Fast" die Neuankömmlinge darauf hinweisen den Preset zu ändern.

Generell hilft es wirklich enorm das ständige aktualisieren von Telemetrie zu reduzieren, der Duty Cycle kann so besser eingehalten und die Frequenz wird nicht so "verstopft".

Man könnte die Information stündlich mit einem Node auf dem Standard preset senden und die max hops auf 1 reduzieren, damit es das Gelände nicht so weit verlässt.

Wie waren denn die Erfahrungen aus dem letzten Jahr? Den client auf client_mute setzen oder im Standard belassen?

Wollte mir noch eine Client_Base station ans Womo heften.

Ich finde das Netz eigentlich mittlerweile zu gut und würde mir die Abschaltung der zusätzlich aufgestellten Repeater wünschen Nur halb ernst gemeint, Notrufe und so absetzen zu können ist natürlich ein dickes Plus aber irgendwo killt es für mich schon einen Teil des Vibes.

I'm very interested in this. How is progress? Could you share the Github?

The usability of the Meshtastic iOS app from last year was very problematic. Hard to figure out the channel system and for non-techies was very difficult to setup as a set-and-forget system that Just Works(tm).

I am most interested in the "find friends" use case. The GPS system on my devices was quite buggy (not reporting locations or reporting incorrect locations).

I like the idea of reporting the stage people are at and how long ago the ping was.

I'd love a very simplified app or a "simple" mode, where users can ping what stage they are at manually or using the GPS from their phone. The key is to show timestamps and accuracy rating (e.g. user input = 100%). Maybe also indicate planning....e.g. "we plan to goto X stage in 15mins". But relying on manual input is unreliable....automated pings with accuracy is ideal.

I was also thinking of combining with the new airtag 2.

People may say its fun to get lost and make new friends but Fusion is massive and I find the eventual reunion with friends on the dance floor very thrilling.

It's still work in Progress and needs more testing. It's not in a state where i would be confident to share it publicly. I'm working on it as we speak and will update you when i'm releasing the beta.
